I started this project at the during fall of 2020, and it pretty much became my pandemic project. Ever since I played Hades on release, I was smitten with it. I wanted to push my skills and make something that was pretty close to the in-game concept art, yet have materials that react to lighting, VFX and animation. In my head my final goal was a wish to see what it would look like if Chaos was 3D and had an animation during a conversation, and I knew I was going to attempt to achieve that through compositing the model on in-game footage. All of the footage used was captured by me, and I had to put together quite a few pieces to get the composite to look as authentic as possible. This wound up being a big jump into Unreal 5 for me, where I learned to put together shaders, post-processing effects, morph targets and animations.
This was a long and huge journey to get here and I couldn't be more happy with out it turned out, a lot of people helped me along the way. Special thanks to:
Val, for giving support and encouragement
